Special offers summer 2024

Dear guests, allegra e bainvgnieu!

Although we are still in the midst of another excellent winter season with lots of snow and very often beautiful, cold winter weather, we must not forget the coming summer, because it is definitely coming.

The last summer of 2023 was once again a great one, to quote Rainer Maria Rilke from his poem “Autumn Day” in a slightly different form.

The sometimes very hot days and nights prompted countless guests from near and far to travel to the “refreshing” Engadin to enjoy a few relaxing days in the Engadin “summer resort”. Thanks to you, dear guests, we were able to write one of the best summer seasons ever in the annals of the Hotel Maria.

Let’s hope that we can improve this record again in summer 2024.

Anyone who knows summer and autumn in the Engadin knows how supernaturally beautiful these seasons are in our high valley. Whether you discover the Via Engiadina between Maloja and Zernez in stages on foot or conquer the three-thousand metre peaks of Piz Languard or Piz Grevasalvas without much knowledge of the high mountains…… you are guaranteed to have a great time, as well as biking, surfing, sailing, golfing, travelling by post bus, drinking an espresso in Chiavenna, “Apérölen” on the Maria sun terrace…. and so much more!

We don’t want to withhold our popular and proven package weeks – which you can find below – from you for the coming summer and autumn.

Relax with us and recharge your batteries…. from 14 June to 20 October 2024…… whenever you want and for as long as you want.

We look forward to seeing you!

Cordially,
HOTEL MARIA SILS
Yours

Regula and Andreas Ludwig
and the whole Hotel Maria-Sommer team

Mountain spring, where it is most beautiful

Dear guests

There is hardly any other region in our beautiful country where the mountain spring is as intense and beautiful as in the Engadin. You almost get the impression that the alpine flowers deliberately use the short time of summer to shine in all their colourful glory. When the alpine roses cover entire slopes with their rich red and delicate pink colours from around mid-June to mid-July, it’s heart-warming.
Take a walk, hike or even go mountaineering and consciously soak up the marvellous nature of the Engadin. Pure relaxation for body, mind and soul!
Treat yourself to a few mountain spring days with us at the Hotel Maria in the beautiful Engadin village of Sils; it will do you good and you will remember it for a long time. Will do you good and you will remember it for a long time to come.

Late Summer & Golden Autumn in Engadine

It is actually always beautiful in the Engadine; spring, summer, autumn or winter, every season has its own special charm in our high valley. Engadin connoisseurs know, however, that autumn is something quite unique. Larches and Swiss stone pines characterize our high alpine forests. The larches turn golden from mid-September, the stone pines remain green. In addition, the incomparably clear and good air, the deep blue of the lakes, the three-thousand-metre peaks covered in white sugar and the radiant Engadine sun from the cloudless sky (not always, but often)…… with such a play of colors, one understands why artists of world stature such as Segantini or Giacometti have repeatedly captured the Engadine on their canvases. The golden autumn in the Engadine…. simply incomparable!
